This means the underlying intelligence that makes a pair of headphones sound premium or an AI assistant hear you clearly is increasingly being licensed and built into a wide variety of products, from motorcycle helmets to smart glasses.

The shift to intelligent devices

HOW IT WORKS

These new systems rely on a concept called the intelligent edge. Traditionally, complex AI processes run on massive, distant servers that require constant internet connections. To make headphones or cars smarter, companies are trying to move that intelligence to the edge, which means running parts of the AI locally on the device itself.
